• Announcements for week 2-1-10

    • Wednesday night— Continues This Wed., Feb. 3, as we continue to strategize from the movie “To Save A Life” and what God wants us to do about it!”  We start at 7pm and end at 8:30pm.  Focus:  “You’re Not Alone”
    • Thursday Night Dodgeball!  Congrats to our team who is currently 3-1 in league play!  Our game this Thursday is at 7pm.  Go get ‘em Cougars!
    • “To Save A Life” movie is out for only 1 more day at Showcase Theater in Ann Arbor.
    • L.O.F.T. (Learning Our Faith Together) continues this Sunday, Feb. 7 as we go through the Bible in 1 year.  We’ll be focusing on the book of Matthew.  We start at 9:15 and end at 10:30. If you’re trying to stay on pace with reading through the Bible in 1 year you’ll want to complete Matthew by Sunday.
    • Adult & Student Leader’s Vision Quest—We meet this Sunday, Feb. 7 from 12:15-2pm for lunch & planning…especially for student leader’s month.  $5
    • Small groups do not meet this Sunday due to the Super Bowl party.
    • Super Bowl 44 Party!  Sunday, Feb. 7 at the home of Kurt & Nina Johnston (8525 Cherry Hill Dr. in Superior Township).  It starts at 6pm and end when the game is over!  Sign up in the barn or with Nancy if you’re planning to come!

    • 5th Quarter Movie Night—Friday, Feb. 12, 9:30-11:45
    • Sign up now for the Kalahari Escape—Note the date change…again!  We’ll be going on Monday, Feb. 15, (Feb. 16 or 17 as previously noted) so that the most people can go!!  8am-8pm, $30 for the day.
    • Mission Trip applications are out!  We’ll be going to Atlanta, GA and working with the Atlanta Dream Center July 10-18.  Our first meeting will be on Monday, Feb. 22 and not on Feb. 15 (due to the Kalahari Conflict) from 7-8:30pm.

    • PCA Spirit Week Lip Sync!!  It all starts at 1pm on Thursday, Jan. 28 and ends by 1:50.  Non-PCA kids can meet Larry at 12:50 by Mrs. Cook’s desk (secondary entrance) to watch as visitors!

  • Announcements for week of 12-14-09

    • Wednesday night— Come and serve the Jet-Setters with us as we sing carols, bake treats and enjoy a warm night of fellowship.  We leave tonight at 6:30 and are done at 8:30.  We’ll be off for the next 2 weeks as we break for the holidays.  We resume on Wednesday, Jan. 6 as we begin our 1st series of the new year, “Being Attractive Without Having to Look Good!”  We start at 7pm and end at 8:30!
    • Christmas Rocks 5th Quarter!!—This will be our biggest 5th Quarter yet!  Friday, Dec. 18 with our own “Good Luck Varsity” and nationally known band “The Insyderz!!” Doors open at 9:30 and close at 11:45.  Bring an unwrapped toy for the kids in the Children’s hospital!  Don’t miss it!!
    • LOFT (Learning Our Faith Together) continues this Sunday, Dec. 20 as we go through the Bible in 1 year.  Our focus will on the book of Daniel!  We start at 9:15 and end at 10:30. Reading through the Bible in 1 year? Be sure to read through Daniel by Sunday!!  There will be no LOFT on Sunday, Dec. 27 but keep reading through your Bible—Hosea, Joel & Amos by Sunday Dec. 27.
    • Small groups are done for this year and will resume in January.  Jan. 17 is the Sunday kickoff for the winter small group session.  Talk to Renee McKenzie if you’d like to be in one!
    • This Sunday night, Dec. 20 is our Christmas Progressive Party!  7-11pm, $5.  We will be progressing from one house to the next!  Appetizer’s at the Malcolm’s, soup/salad at the Gregory’s, main course at the Moriarty’s and dessert at the Newton’s.  We leave on the bus at 7pm from the barn (get there by 6:45) and return back to the barn at 11pm.  Bring a white elephant gift for the night & $5!

    • Wednesday night— This Wednesday we finish our series—“Scarred—Hope for those who Hurt!”  This week our focus is on will be on you and your stories!!  Both students and leaders will be sharing their stories!!  7-8:30 in the barn.  Next week we’ll heading to the Witkowski’s (6777 Spring Meadows Lane in Plymouth) barn for our annual “Prayer, Praise & Pie!!”  It’ll be 6:30-9 on Nov. 25 (the day before thanksgiving) and we will be taking a bus from the barn & back. Be sure to bring a pie…we’ll provide the hot beverages!
    • The 1st Annual Fall Fling!  Crazy praise & worship with the Phil Wing Band from Velocity + watching the U of M vs. Ohio game on TV, pizza, food, Gameworks, Fort Rapids Indoor Waterpark and staying overnight!  Nov. 21-22, $40 leaving this Saturday for Ohio at 8am and returning Sunday at 4:30pm.
    • LOFT (Learning Our Faith Together) continues this Sunday, Nov. 22 as we go  through the Bible in a year study and focus on Psalms.  This week’s through the Bible in 1 year is the book of Proverbs, Ecclesiastes & Song of Solomon.

    • It’s time for our 7th annual “Prayer, Praise & Pie” at the Witkowski’s (6777 Spring Meadows Lane in Plymouth).  It’ll take place on Wednesday, Nov. 25 from 6:30-9pm.  We will leave from the barn at 6:30 and return back at 9pm.  This is for all students in our middle school, high school & college.  We may even be hosting people from Metro. Life Church as well.  Please bring a pie and we’ll provide the hot beverages!
